Mesa Air Group Inc., parent company of go! airlines announced that it will begin charging $10 for the first checked bag on Hawaii interisland trips.
The bag fee will start on Aug. 10, 2008. The fee will not be charged to passengers who bought tickets before July 10.
The carrier also said it is reducing fees for second checked bags, from $25 to $17 because of the new fee.
